Digital hygiene management for office space and office properties from TÜV SÜD and ShareYourSpace with the staysafe® hygiene label
TÜV SÜD is expanding the scope of the TÜV SÜD Covid-19 hygiene app in collaboration with the digital platform ShareYourSpace. In the future, office providers and operators will also be able to use the app for hygiene management. The app supports the development, implementation and monitoring of a compliant hygiene concept in all rooms and workspaces.
Effective protection against health risks is the prerequisite for a successful return to office environments and workplaces after the lockdown and not leading to new setbacks. But hygiene and health protection will remain important in the long term. TÜV SÜD has developed the TÜV SÜD Covid-19 hygiene app and, together with the Munich-based company ShareYourSpace, has adapted it to the special requirements of offices. The digital marketplace of the same name, ShareYourSpace, enables the short-term rental and leasing of a wide variety of workspaces based on the Airbnb principle by networking space owners and space seekers.
With the TÜV SÜD Covid-19 hygiene app, office providers and operators can check the hygiene protection concept they have defined themselves and minimize the risk of infection for office space users. "We support a landlord or operator in complying with legal and regulatory requirements and implementing the appropriate protective measures in a practical manner on their office space and office properties," says Sabine Watzlowik, project manager at TÜV SÜD Advimo GmbH. The basis for this is a comprehensive digital checklist that not only supports the development and implementation of a hygiene concept in accordance with the rules, but also the monitoring of the defined protective measures in real time.
The checklist is based on TÜV SÜD hygiene criteria, which take into account the requirements of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) as well as the applicable guidelines and regulations at federal, state and municipal levels. "The TÜV SÜD Covid-19 hygiene app is designed as a system for operational self-monitoring, in which hygiene-critical issues are queried when using office space," explains Watzlowik. Office landlords and operators can manage and control all relevant hygiene data via the app. Electronic reporting takes place in real time. Data is recorded in the individual office spaces or office properties via a mobile device, for example a smartphone or tablet. If there are deviations from the operator's defined hygiene standard, the responsible hygiene officers receive a warning message.
Dashboard provides an overview
The questionnaire for the TÜV SÜD Covid-19 hygiene app is initially adapted to the office and its equipment. Each office space receives a coordinated self-assessment based on the neutral TÜV SÜD hygiene criteria. A dashboard provides an overview of the implementation of hygiene measures on site. "New requirements can be entered centrally into the system and thus quickly adapted," explains Thorsten Steinhübel, Managing Director of TÜV SÜD Food Safety Institute GmbH, which co-developed the TÜV SÜD Covid-19 hygiene app. "In this way, operators can implement necessary measures - including, for example, easing or tightening restrictions in view of a changed situation - without delay." Data security is guaranteed by strict access management. The security standards include, among other things, password-protected access and secure lines for data transmission.
The use of the TÜV SÜD Covid-19 hygiene app by workspace providers on ShareYourSpace is verified by the staysafe® Hygiene Label, which is awarded directly via the platform www.shareyourspace.com. "For our customers, this is a strong added-value service," emphasizes Dr. Tobias Wagner, CEO of ShareYourSpace. "Health care as a differentiating criterion for spaces and space operators is a competitive advantage in marketing." The staysafe® Hygiene Label is available in two levels: in a basic version as a pure self-assessment by the operator or as a premium service with additional testing and validation by independent TÜV SÜD auditors and the additional note "monitored by TÜV SÜD".
