THOMAS DAILY: Commerz Real’s participation in ShareYourSpace

Commerz Real has a 25% stake in the new online platform "Share Your Space". This enables companies to rent out their unused office space to other companies or freelancers. Not only entire offices or floors are rented out, but also individual workstations or meeting rooms. The terms range from one hour to one year. The service is initially focused on Munich and the Rhine-Main area, but is to be expanded to cover the whole of Germany.

Commerz Real estimates that around half of the total 500 million m² office space in Germany is not being used due to changes in companies, part-time work, and home office or travel days.

Susanne Bonfig, Head of Digital Asset Management at Commerz Real, complements the "Share Your Space" management team consisting of Tobias Wagner and Christian Ehl. Commerz Real board member Andreas Muschter is also involved in the advisory board.
